What we do
Chiropractic adjustment
‘Chiro’ means hands and ‘practic’ means practice, so chiropractic is care given with the hands. An adjustment is the procedure a trained chiropractor uses, without drugs or surgery.

What we do
How it works
The adjustment is applied by hand to a specific joint, to restore movement where it has been lost. Every visit begins with assessment, so you know what is being worked on and why.
What we do
The tools we use when they help
Where a very light or specific contact suits you better, chiropractors can use an Activator, SOT blocks or Thompson drops. These are additions to hands-on care, not replacements for it.
What we do
Care without drugs or surgery
Welo provides holistic care without the use of drugs or surgery. If your assessment suggests you need imaging or a medical doctor, we say so and help you get there.

Questions
Chiropractic adjustment questions
Does an adjustment hurt?
Most people find it comfortable. Tell us if anything is tender and we will adapt the contact or use a lighter technique.
What is the popping sound?
It is gas moving within the joint as pressure changes. It is not bone cracking, and the sound is not a measure of whether the adjustment worked.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book an assessment directly.
What if an adjustment is not right for me?
Then we do not do one. Assessment comes first, and where a joint should not be adjusted we use gentler mobilisation or refer you on.
